Breaks my heart.I worked in public schools for over 20 years. One school was renovating, and we had a narrowed hallway we called the cattle chute. During a fire drill, I was walking out with students in that hall and the only thing I could think of was being a sitting duck.

Thanks for highlighting this. I would have been a senior in hs and remember the gas lines and every other day buying restrictions, but I have no memory of this. Levittown is about 45 mins away from me.

63 here. Just had cataract surgeries as our insurance may end next year. (Hub's works cut off employees at 64) My vision was bad enough to warrant the surgery, but I got it done before we get kicked off. Now I just have to deal with my asthma and migraines. Guess breathing will be optional.

I'm still trying to get my head around the idea that there was no one willing to leak info bad enough before the election. I'm sure it's because 47 would sue them into oblivion or his followers would terrorize them.

Last night and today feels like when you did not realize you were holding your breath. Local races made inroads as well. Borough council and school board now have Democrat members!

There was a CK sign at my polling place, and more reported at some nearby. Not close to the entrance, but felt strange.

I'm in PA and voting yes. Felt pretty good until I was on Nextdoor today and started reading comments... lots of MAGA sounding off. Truly hope it's all hot air.

In 2026, hub's company will kick us off their medical insurance when he turns 64. Retirement a few yrs out. I have 2 chronic conditions. Preventatives are over 1000 retail per month. Have no idea how we'll manage this. Thought we were in good shape-mortgage paid off and decent jobs.

being good to each other. There was a T rex and unicorn, lots of great signs, someone playing a drum and cars driving by honking. Maybe not every car, but quite a few. It did my heart good.

We had quite a few rallies in our area (NW Philadelphia Suburbs). I had not made a sign or anything, but went to the one in Harleysville, PA - in front of a grocery store that displays bible verses and CK stuff on their electric sign. It made me choke up to see folks protesting and (1/2)

I don't know how this will translate on Election day. I live just in Bucks Co, near the Montgomery Co. line. 10 minutes from my house, I've seen Q and all kinds of Trump flags. We're also in the middle of Christain Nationalist organizers. Many hard core Trumpers here.
