Vice President Flynn and President Kari K. Steele disagreed and have said that they have found the program helpful, and both said it is better for the public and public education and for the waterways at large.

Comr. Davis said he was not sure if this is worth it for the taxpayers, and believes that potentially other authorities, including the pharmaceutical companies should be responsible

Davis also wanted to address item 32, “Authority to amend the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office to continue supporting its Prescription Drug Take-Back Program by extending the IGA for one year and to make payment to the CCSO in an amount not to exceed $80,000.00

Exec Dir Murray spoke of some of storm sewers being put in, separate sewers in the blanketing area, and the structures have been protected from flooding for the plan. There is also a recreational benefit that creates a pond.

Exec Dir John Murray said the layout was available online, he was also asked to explain benefits of project to the public. And the project benefits 209 structures in the city of Harvey.
