It’s almost impossible for me to take a good pic of my husband. The minute I aim a lens at him, he freezes. But after dinner, with a good day behind us, we managed.

Winter biking is going to be great this year, I predict! And the sky was gorgeous as I headed home yesterday at sunset. #photography #biking #winter #sunset

I've been obsessed by bands’ stage setups since I was a young. I assembled this image of the end of #radiohead ’s first Bologna concert last night from various stills in Youtuber Elly's audience video. Just after they performed “Karma Police.”

Don’t tell me I don’t have self restraint! I saw this ad on Facebook and did NOT reply with this photo from “Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex.”

Facebook promised me a giant red moon looming over AI farmers, washing the world in a blood haze, but this pretty, too.

I started collecting L&R with the 3rd issue of the original series in about 1983. The hardcover pictured below (1 of 2 volumes) is amazing.

Tomorrow night is the latest edition of Toronto Queer Noir, a literary night of “be gay do crimes.”

I’m reading my compact noir short-story, “The Darkling Road.” Also, looking forward to being on the bill with legendary Toronto theatre luminary, Sky Gilbert and other great writers!

Today! Today! I’ll also be reading a new poem and helping run the thing as usual. It will be a great day of great poets and our great feature, GAY JESUS! #toronto #poetry.
A very queer-friendly (and welcoming to everyone) event.

I’m writing a novel that takes place downtown in 1981, and the research is tripping me out. I lived in North York then and came downtown for fun, but seeing photos now of streets I knew then is both weirdly familiar and utterly alien. I now remember this cheesy “Gourmet” sign at Bloor and Yonge.

Today on what would have been my late brother’s 72nd birthday, I premiere his piano suite, composed in 1983.
