How are we supposed to encourage students to fully engage with the material we study (aka reading it) if editorials or content providers are embedding AI tools in their platforms, allowing them to study without actually reading it?

Last Friday, at a conference in the Faculty of Laws of the Universidad de Concepción, I presented some thoughts about disintegration, fissuring, and the role of technology in platform work, all part of my doctoral research. It was great to debate(remotely) with colleagues and friends back home.

It’s always nice to present my work at home, even if it’s online. On Friday, I’ll be talking about platforms, and technology’s capacity for “extreme fissuring” of workplaces and firms.
