This is so true and I do keep talking to people I know. Too often, their eyes glaze over. I am told that I am "obsessing" and "preoccupied". I also think this is why elections on the local level, the off years, are so important. In PA-major victories with regards to Depts of Education in Red areas..

The masks don't work, clot shot, immunity debt contingent...I work out at home-but my immune system doesn't need to fight viruses to "get stronger". So the mask stays on and the vaccines get done-after talking to the doctor about timing....

Animal reservoirs, at least to my knowledge, are probably the greatest source of infectious disease. Altering the migratory habits of, or disrupting the balance between predator and prey will alter the survival of many species as time moves forward. Continuing to roll the dice not a good strategy...

Still have my iPhone SE that I purchased in 2017. Works perfectly. I can read all of the annoying, begging texts-and all kinds of bad news, good news, email and check the weather-and watch things on Youtube. They keep updating software to punish you into buying the hardware..Hoarding makes sense...

One of the reasons-and there are many-why I tossed the NYTimes-their both-sides approach helped put this admin in power.."The most powerful man in science"-who has absolutely no background in science-and lacking in even the most nominal degree of curiosity about anything except, perhaps, falconry.

His speech might be caused by spasmodic dysphonia(?). I believe one of his sisters suffers from this as well. What he says is still untethered from reality-even if he were to speak with the tongues of men and of angels.

Not crazy-or "preoccupied" or "overly anxious"....I just don't want to put myself at risk for LC. Not had Covid, flu, cold, RSV or gastroenteritis. Anecdotal yes....but compelling never the less-masking works...

This is why I only do outdoors for restaurants...not drinking anymore-bc I am not going to sit in a bar. And wear a >N95-sometimes a 1/4 elastomeric..when higher risk group situations. Still worked in classroom settings up to be laid off in 2024. Mask always, despite often being the only one.

BTW still have not had Covid, flu, common cold, RSV or gastroenteritis...since 2020. I subscribe to the idea that the best treatment for Covid is not getting it.

If I have to see a dr-whether in office or at the hospital-I wear my maximum protection. 1/4 face elastomeric (Flomask)-you have to ask staff and doctors to wear a mask-as if one can pretend a virus away-Covid is still a thing-& flu looks like it could be bad this year-ordered Flu A+B and C19 tests.
