USA was on USSR’s side then too, exporting and installing the soviet base infrastructure while pulling a blind eye to the holodomor that was necessary to pay for US hardware.

The only acceptable peace is for russia to cease fire and withdraw entirely from all of Ukraine, followed by int’l war crimes trial and reparations in full. This requires no negotiation.
