That was a nice surprise then. Not often that surprises are good. There's something poignant about leaves holding onto a mostly bare tree.It's a different kind of beauty than one full of bright colors.

How cool, that curling wave is dramatic. I like the colors we can see in the closest part of the wave.

Still some beautiful foliage hanging on in the underbrush. It's a peaceful scene. Stay warm and hope you catch something.

There's a surprising amount of leaves left on the trees. The yellow-orange makes a nice contrast with the dark bark. Most of the leaves are off the trees here, lots of blustery winds the last couple weeks caused that. It's nice to see some hanging on in other places.

Oh I hate when I don't see a bird well enough to ID. Then I spend the next few hours saying "It could be this.. or maybe that." lol

That is an interesting color pattern, I bet it makes them hard to see among the leaves in a tree.
