this is v interesting Nick, thank you. this may be naive of me, but would you compare this to something like the Marshall Plan? obviously not providing cash, but it seems like you think of this as an export of US advantage to create economic/institutional dependence? are there better parallels?

think key to his success is his emotional volatility, which plays extremely well in the social media-driven landscape of business in the 2020s. Also, though this was cut for length, I think's motivated in part by resentment of elite institutions (financial and academic) that spurned him.

Karp's talk of "national purpose" and "shared mythology" are, like the subject of his Adorno-inspired PhD, examples of jargon that obscure reactionary politics. His true guiding mantra is the fusion of state and private enterprise for the organization and direction of violence.
