genocide complicity and apathy for palestine, sudan, congo were the gateway to the rampant ice raids. i hope people begin to see their own communities and neighbors who take radical action as necessary resistance

tomorrow i would really like to challenge a few folks with larger followings than me to adopt a rent and raise it in one day.

my little group chat and my followers have paid like 70 families rents in the past four days. i believe that some of y’all could help us keep one family housed.
today's report:

our "adopt a rent" venmo campaign paid 43 families rents who were at risk of evictions, including several moms of 4+ children

this is the way to get rent paid fast. like. 1000x better than any other way.

Walmart is officially a trillion-dollar company.

Today the retail giant joined the ranks of Meta, Tesla, Amazon and more to pass a $1 trillion market cap.

Meanwhile, starting pay at Walmart is as low as $14/hour, and thousands of its workers have to rely on SNAP and Medicaid.

twitter is filled with twisted things, i feel sick scrolling through the still contents of the epstein files. i don’t want to imagine what the uncensored files contained. i don’t know where to put my rage and frustration that something like this existed/exists and nobody believed/heard the victims

please remember that no matter how many “ICE is losing in MN” articles you read today, there is still a very real, urgent, ongoing crisis in Minnesota.

people need food and they need rent money. that has not changed.

Nobody should be supporting the World Cup in the United States. The English FA needs to speak openly about ICE raids targeting anyone who looks foreign or speaks the wrong language. Football fans travelling to America risk arbitrary detention by armed federal agents.

One good thing about me is that my brain works and I don't fall for Orwellian, propaganda nonsense like this.

The Israelis are breaking the ceasefire and NBC News is actively running interference to support the Israeli government (as are most other American corporate media outlets).

This morning, Instacart announced it will end its use of AI-powered pricing experiments following our report with @moreperfectunion.bsky.social & @consumerreports.org.
BREAKING: Instacart is ending all price testing on its platform in the wake of this report.
EXCLUSIVE: We found that Instacart is using AI algorithms to charge customers different prices for the same items.

It's not just online. It's in physical grocery stores too.

Our months-long investigation with @consumerreports.org and @groundwork.bsky.social found it could cost families $1200/year.

well. let’s treat politicians as politicians, not as celebrities. no matter how relatable or promising they seem. i would like them to carry out what they’ve promised to the people, for the better of the majority than profit and corporations

Also, lots of links to support kids' understanding of food insecurity and ways they can participate in community care.
