One aspect of this that should not be ignored is that 2028 presidential candidate Marco Rubio is joined at the hip to Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth in promoting and executing this irresponsible use of US power. Will he campaign on the slogan "I have blood on my hands"? Ultimately US blood, at that?
