I’m so heartbroken and so sick to my stomach over this, I just have no words. I loved his work and it’s always been part of my life. I feel empty and cold right now. All my love to Mr & Mrs Reiner’s family and friends. #RIPRobReiner #RIPMichelleReiner

A haiku for a personal hero, a fellow fan of Stan Laurel, and one of the most joyful souls in the history of entertainment. Happy 100th Birthday, Dick Van Dyke. ❤️

From Danville High halls
To stages, screens and our hearts
His art, fueled by love

The Cure’s “The Show of a Lost World” was fantastic. Beautifully shot in 4K, the 31-song set started with songs from their latest album and spider-walked its way through its legendary catalogue. See it if you can! #TheCure #THECUREFILM @thecure.com

Finished “What Is It All But Luminous: Notes from an Underground Man” by Art Garfunkel and loved it.

I’ve only seen him solo one time, and that was when I took my mom to see him at the Sheldon Concert Hall. One of my favorite memories.

Some holidays are symbols of the human spirit overcoming systematic bullying & oppression. Thriving, not just surviving, Are you good with things like this being removed because it makes you feel justified, that your hatred is empowering? I feel sorry for you. History will be the judge.

What on God’s green earth are they putting in those hickory-smoked ribs?

Happy Friday, friendos!

This is a picture of me and my mom from many years ago. I’m actually wearing the same thing right now as I put up Christmas lights outside.

God, it’s really cold out here.

And why are the neighbors yelling obscenities at me?

Finally saw The Black Phone 2 (in a theater, of course) and really had fun. I’ve grown really fond of winter horror over the years.

Anyway, check it out!

Sad to hear about the passing of the great Tom Stoppard. What a talent. What a legacy.

I took a picture, so I wrote a haiku about it.

Like the skeletons
Of gentle wintry giants
The beauty of snow

Picked up the latest issue of Creepshow and got this amazing variant. I think I need to write a story for this! @imagecomics.com

Maisy was in the Christmas spirit and dictated the following haiku:

They pick up my dung
And they feed me every day
Christmas is all year!

With a wonderful central performance by a real dog named Indy, Good Boy makes every moment count in its 73-minute runtime. A moving and beautiful looking film with a star that you’ll wish you were friends with.

Sweet fancy Moses with arms full of roses, what a fun time at Days Of The Dead Chicago! Thank you to everyone who came by to say hello, got a book signed, or bought some books to take home.

It’s the final day for Days Of The Dead Chicago and I’m making new friends like these two. I’m sure they’re very nice!

Before I made my way to Days of the Dead Chicago today, I had the opportunity to pay my respects to Clara Peller. Who is she? She’s the “Where’s the Beef?” lady.

Thanks to pals Mike and for affording me this extraordinary chance to touch greatness.

“In the early 60’s, there was a cafe in Paris called Café d’Auteur. There I was in my Paisley Print Georgette skirt, young & looking for love. That’s when I first met Antonio, or as his owner called him, Shithead. We began to build a life together…If only he could have stopped humping lampposts.”

I’m really loving these Universal Monster books from Michael Walsh and @imagecomics.com. Each one expands on the original film, offering a different perspective on the story. More, please. #readmorecomics

We were doing yard work today and along with raking leaves, we also had to rake up a copious amount of acorns. What follows is a true conversation between me and my son in haiku form:

I point at the pile
“Take care of deez nuts,” I said
He just stood and stared
