I left the classroom after 28 years to do teacher training and education research for TACC but I am mostly a remote worker. Today the team I’m on is meeting at the UT admissions office in Houston which is in this lovely old building near downtown. Check out this structure above my work area. So cool

The STEMcoding physics modeling platform uses these green check marks when the code models the physical system following a given set of checks. The kids loved seeing the green check marks and it acted as a helpful formative method for me.

Being in higher education after working as a high school
Teacher for so long has been a strange transition. I’m at the Texas state science teachers conference in a different capacity this year. I am excited to talk about my new data science work for TACC at UT Austin though.
