Ultimately I believe the publishers will sell us out for a proprietary OpenAI clone
“authors & publishers who filed a lawsuit against the Sam Altman-led firm have secured access to internal Slack messages… discussing the mass deletion of a pirated books dataset… A NY district court ordered OpenAI to hand over the communications regarding data deletion”

Chrono Trigger: Waiting

Fiona dreams of growing a forest to save the land laid waste, but it'll take centuries, so Robo stays behind to help tend to the trees long after her lifetime. 400yrs later you find him, rusted and broken down amid a lush forest, Fiona's dream accomplished🌳

I read Innocent Omnibus v1 and Mister Mammoth recently, both from @darkhorse.com.
-Innocent (a story about a executioner family during the French Revolution) is grisly in spots and earnest in others.
-Mister Mammoth is a weird detective story from Matt Kindt and a Euro artist debuting in America.

Barry Windsor-Smith, “Beguiled” (1982/1995), pen and ink, watercolour/gouache, and coloured pencil. Intended for the cover of Epic Illustrated, but fatigue prompted BWS to abandon it half-done. Thirteen years later, BWS completed the work.

@ingridblythe.bsky.social I'm a fellow Kurosagi Corse Delivery Service fan. Omnibus #6 is pushed back to April 2026, likely due to the collapse of Diamond.

I'm grateful for comics bundles. I'm thinking of places like Humble where if you've got $20 and you've heard of something, you can outright buy it and find out.

(Side note: Libraries are also great. So are comic book stores. That's not the discussion I'm interested in.)
