Apologies if it comes across too ranty. Just think his reputation as a successful chairman of the club should face some serious questions is all. What is worse though is Joe Lewis will sell up and we’ll end up with a City/Newcastle situation.

I don’t think it’s more successful than 50s/60s. I think the debate is about Levy, during this period, at critical moments coming up short, badly handling situations being too prudent relative to expectations (highest prices etc). Over 20 plus years you can see a trend.

What success? Being profitable? He’s not the first to build a new stadium, my point is it’s not a pioneering personal achievement. US franchise in the sense we exist to make money with the team/roster not always top priority. We are a football club, that is the only real measure of success.

Serie A is having a renaissance right now really enjoying the season with the history adding to the aura of the league!

Hard disagree. Been lucky with Kane and Bale over the years. Runs us like a US franchise, existing to make money. Zero ambition. Stadium was a no brainer and funded on debt anyway. Very depressing.

Yea agree with that. Hopefully NBA can keep people engaged as it’s still more exciting than most sports. Fingers crossed for a decent season!

Oh absolutely. Just don’t expect a high mainstream audience is my point. Especially when those players aren’t playing for anything meaningful beyond personal stats. Just think NBA could do with a Euroleague ‘every game matters’ mentality.

I mean there’s 1200 odd games in regular season alone, there should be some good ones. But given half the league isn’t playing for anything, it’s a tough sell these days beyond highlight reels. Being in Europe I watch way more Euroleague. Less talent, but very intense and competitive.

NBA needs to up its game. Long season, dull games, half the league tanking and zero competitive narrative. Even the playoffs aren’t creating enough drama.

I think the point of this petition really is to control the narrative than anything meaningful. Control the topic being discussed is more impactful than winning an argument. Labour need to shift the conversation and start defending itself better.
