With the ASCII crawler done and out its time to start looking at the next step, am thinking the SP1 sprite library might be a good thing to look at.
Perhaps porting Black Hole RX back over to the Spectrum would be a good learning exercise.

Surprisingly, I never even heard of the game Rogue until relatively recently, when the name was being thrown a lot. I did know of Nethack though, and have been playing it on and off for many years now. I even discovered that Mastertronic released a version of it on the Speccy in 1989.

I've had seeds that got me killed by a lowly rat on the first level, I've had seeds that have given me a gauntlet of pain on the last, I've also had seeds that throw healing potions at me like confetti but we wont mention those 😆
Either way, the roguelike is finally coming this weekend!
