For my first post, I’d like to bring attention to this - a transition from capitalism looks like regenerative worker cooperatives.
Time to get serious about creating the alternative society by creating worker coops, community land trusts, community gardens, … and divesting from stocks of corrupt corporations replacing with investment in CDFIs and similar, See Mondragon Corp, Shared Capital Coop, Community Vision (CA)…

A bill in Texas would require the Ten Commandments be posted in every public school classroom.

This is indoctrination.
This is unconstitutional.
This is Christian nationalism.

The past few months have been tough, and we just want to say thank you. In the beginning, it felt like we were yelling into the wind, no one was listening. But then you all showed up. You raised your voices, shared the truth, and made the media pay attention.

A win! A federal appeals court just ordered Elon Musk and his DOGE to resume efforts to hand over internal documents. The ruling directs Musk’s team to answer questions and provide records requested under the Freedom of Information Act records they’ve been stonewalling for months.

this is very good news. a bunch of school board elections in suburban North Texas have started swinging back against the right.
RESULT: Voters in the 'greater Fort Worth' region have ousted a conservative member of the Grapevine-Colleyville school board, Tammy Nakamura.

Nakamura was part of the board's majority when they passed this policy... on a 4-3 vote. (www.texastribune.org/2022/08/22/g...)

2️⃣ The Katy school board, another that's among Texas' largest:

NEW, a big loss for the right on the (large) Katy school board, in the greater Houston area.

Voters have ousted Victor Perez, the board's ultra-conservative president.

Perez had championed a policy against trans students that had passed on a 4-3 vote & that prompted a federal investigation.

Okay, I'll say it: Tonight has been an absolute DRUBBING for Texas book banners. Texas voters stood up and said clearly that they're sick of trustees demonizing teachers. They rejected the absurd policing of libraries & books that has plagued our state for years.
And here’s how my tracker looks right now. That’s a lot of green!

The plan is to break the parks, claim they must be privatized, take them from the American people and give them to their friends.
Update: the Trump administration has proposed cutting the National Park System by $900 million, about one third of its budget.
