Drives me a little crazy when reporters impute good faith to brazen GOP lies. For example: "The Trump administration ... considers the regulations to be an attack on free speech." Like they care about free speech. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/03/w...

The president of the United States had his DOJ raid the Fulton County election office and seized ballots. This is clearly a dry run for 2026. Yet, this is treated by too many in legacy media as normal.

ICE and CBP agents seem to enjoy gratuitously breaking glass—from car windows to store fronts to homes. It’s an expression of unchecked power and dominance: “We’re in charge. We break and shatter what we want.”

And nights of broken glass have been a harbinger of worse to come.

Decades Later, the Truth Behind a Grisly Mass Murder in El Salvador
The 1980 execution of four American churchwomen was one of the most shocking human rights crimes of the twentieth century. No one has ever really gotten to the bottom of it—until now.

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that all four people arrested today, including two journalists, were Black.

And now we find out the charge is “conspiracy to violate civil rights,” a statute rooted in the Ku Klux Klan Act.

Sit with that.

What we're seeing in Minneapolis is a slight tactical retreat by Trump and the GOP. The strategy won't change. They're guilty of too many crimes, lots of them are owned by Russian intelligence, and the rich sociopaths behind it all won't change. It's terrifying. We have to be ready for the worst.

Minneapolis should press its momentum and demand not only withdrawal but start talking about the need for immediate reparations, loudly, with the total certainty that only winners have. "You have wronged us terribly and must pay recompense" and let them argue the second part.
