Yes I did.
I never pretended to be an expert, but I do think that UAVs are a bigger shift than you make them out to be.
And the changes aren't just technological, but geopolitical. Both forces should drive a rethink of the role and needs of Canadian forces.

If Canada is in a tank battle on the Canadian prairie, the war is already lost.
July 12, 2025 at 3:27 PM
No. This is just one of the things that has changed.

I can think of no better guide to Canada's procurement decisions than what's happening in Ukraine. They are adapting to warfare under fire, right now.

Are they spending their cash on developing better tanks? Buying leopards to supplement? No.
July 12, 2025 at 3:25 PM
Germany probably would want a lot of tanks, but I just don't see a huge role for tanks in defense of Canada.
July 12, 2025 at 12:22 AM
No, not at all.

I just don't think tanks were made to be effective weapons in today's defense environment. I don't want the tank commanders to dust off their old plans if presented with new money.

No. He just saw taking sole control over tariffs as a tool for personal corruption. Tariffs are working great for Donald Trump and a few buddies.

Not to mention the billions of dollars in reduced trade, who knows how many US businesses will suffer or die, and needless generation of global I'll will. Idiots
July 10, 2025 at 4:36 AM
This is exactly wrong. We have seen tanks become useless in modern warfare.

Canada should not spend another dime on obsolete technology.
July 6, 2025 at 12:32 AM
It *is* that bad.

Whatever challenges you put forward, what happens at the Supreme Court is no longer tethered to law or reason.

About all you can do is highlight the injustice and lawlessness. Without other, more direct action, you are just writing an epitaph.
June 28, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Brilliant.

A captured and lawless court needs to have their corruption and lawlessness highlighted and exposed from every angle.

Also, the fact that he was a comedian is relevant. Comedians make a living breaking social norms. Sometimes, they're gonna screw up. Reasonable people cut comics a little extra slack.

He groped some women. It's shifty behavior, and thanks to the courage of thousands of women, that behavior is rarely let slide. Not long ago, such behavior was widespread. I'm not excusing it, but these are relevant facts.

Treating such cases as indistinguishable from rape invites ridicule.

Pardon me.

I think it's time for US employers of journalists to move their headquarters to the EU, where some free speech protections still exist. Like novoya gazeta, Medusa, etc
June 27, 2025 at 12:24 PM
Why do you write "putting starving children at risk", when the evidence shows that thousands of children have died as a direct result of actions by the Trump regime, and thousands more are dying now?

People who don't want to work.

How is it, that the stupidest person to ever sit in the US senate was able to hold up confirmations for months, yet the combined wisdom of the Democratic caucus is able to influence confirmations by 0%?

I'd really like to know.

Those people are a lot less prevalent than you have been led to believe

If there was no money in it, he'd still be doing it for free.
June 27, 2025 at 4:42 AM
That depends on so many things. Your religion, skin colour, every opinion you've ever expressed, it's so hard to keep track.
June 27, 2025 at 4:37 AM
What story are you telling here? Just curious.
June 27, 2025 at 3:51 AM
Whatever symbol you choose, try to remember that a human who needs help is not a parasite on society. The real parasites are those people who don't know what enough is

Carbon taxes would have been a great idea if they had been implemented 30 years ago. By 2016, only caps and moratoria made sense. Those too will come, and those too will be too late.
