And here is a video demonstrating the allosteric mechanism. We propose that when the GLA domain of FVIIa engages PS residues in the membrane bilayer, it moves in such a way that it repositions a serine-rich loop in TF which, in turn, reveals a cryptic binding site for the GLA domain of FX.
