It’s a good few years ago, and makes me slightly embarrassed to post, but I doubt my writing will ever get reviewed in a national newspaper again, so have to share this occasionally
I saw/heard the author of this forthcoming book @joanneanderton.bsky.social talking about it on a panel at World Fantasy Con and it sounded ace. I’m really bad at taking notes/remembering things from cons (must be the bar…) so glad to be reminded of the title here.
Can a person haunt a ghost? @joanneanderton.bsky.social explores the question in PIXERINA: A Haunting, coming from Bad Hand Books in April of 2026.

"Beautifully, gently haunting.”

—Angela Slatter, award-winning author of The Crimson Road

I know half my friends are horror writers on here but chist if you want a non-horror film that makes you feel tense as hell and will stop you sleeping then Kathryn Bigelow’s “House of Dynamite” on Netflix, about the 20 mins leading up to a nuclear strike on the continental United States is the one.

It’s fundamental to the character of Indiana Jones that he *hates Nazis* and the idea that a clip of him hating Nazis is somehow offensive to MAGA Charlie Kirk fans is both hilarious and very telling…

Bethesda deletes Indiana Jones and the Great Circle "fascist" clip after accusations that it mocks Charlie Kirk
Bethesda's now-deleted X post appears to have been part of a wider social media push for the new Indiana Jones and the Great Circle DLC.

Yes thousands turned out - which is far more than I’d like - but that is dwarfed by the millions that understand real patriotism means loving your country as it actually is, not hating its diversity or trying to exploit its challenges. That’s what our flags actually represent
