(There's a concept "almost everywhere" in maths, which means the set where a thing is false has measure 0, if you picked a point at random* the chance of getting a bad one is exactly 0. But what you can't say is it *won't* happen, what this means for probability gets super weird!)

@emilymbender.bsky.social also likes to point out that AI companies posting "paper-shaped objects" as preprints as a way to cut out peer review. It's typeset (roughly?) like an academic paper and posted on arxiv, but if they're not submitting it to a journal it's really just a marketing blog?
