Yeah I’ve come to believe that people arguing this are not really arguing in good faith. Or at least they would prefer there just be no changes vs dealing with the problem.

The only thing that will change this system in the U.S. is direct regulation of interchange fees. Otherwise, rich consumers like these cards too much, and retailers are too dependent on those consumers for revenue. My feature from last month explains the situation: www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...
