There is always equity release. It wouldn't affect her mum and she can continue to live there and the loan will be claimed against the inheritance, which I think is what she is truly upset about.

How are they proposing to monitor the number of miles driven? Will it simply rely on MoT annual data returns...? (Anything is hackable if there is an incentive, now there will be an incentive to hack the mileage a car displays...)
