This is the furthest I've gotten in a playthrough yet, and some units were really really good. But I just did not have the manpower to keep up with casualties, nor the planes to keep up with UFOs. So I'm gonna have to call it a wash here

Our MEC trooper died when assaulting a downed UFO. But considering I was attacked from two sides by six mutons, an outsider, and two floaters, this could have been much worse.
But, this muton is gonna be a huge boon to our research. ( would've captured a floater if the 90% arc thrower had worked)

That being said, I still think this run has been going very well.
We have Carapace Armor, Squad Size II, and Lasers. We captured two Thin Men and an Outsider, and are researching their Light Plasma Rifles. Deb and Valence have also become very strong units, and we are about to attack the alien base.

To summarise what has happened on stream:
Panic is rising across the globe, we've had our first terror mission, Exalt is rearing their ugly head, and the bodycount has increased. The deaths of Wattchit and Niko particularly sting. Especially given that the latter was probably avoidable.

We have our second death due to a exploding car. But other than that (and failing a mission due to my blunder), the run's going really well.
Squad Size upgrade in month 1, on track to get four satellites in the air by the end of month 2. Only thing lacking is research, and even then I got an offer.

Mamok died from being flanked by a Sectoid. And upon his promotion, I gave Niko Extra Conditioning, which will make his HP higher so this won't happen to our other heavy. And the mission also gave us a new Support, with extra movement and evasion
