I have a small server with a mix of IRL friends & folks who've met online.

We play a variety of #videogames across a lot of genres. It's a chill space - we chat, watch movies, and game together.

The #backstreetboys Millennium 2.0 album is a *vibe* right now! If I had a few $k to drop on a Vegas trip to see #BSB in concert, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

My aughts tween/teen heart is so full right now.

Today is the perfect day not to get out of bed. A snowstorm is coming, I have a heated blanket, cats, snacks, and both books and video games.

What more could I need?

The cognitive dissonance of getting up every morning and making coffee and walking the dog and going to meetings and answering emails and wondering what to make for dinner while there is a real live actual coup d’etat happening is BONKERS

Few material things can provide perspective. This does for me.

Photo of Otto Frank, returning to his family’s hiding place. In 1944, an informant betrayed them and the family was sent to Auschwitz.

His wife (Edith) was murdered, his daughters (Margot & Anne) died of Typhus.

Was talking to a friend recently about the #Empyrean Series (Fourth Wing, etc).

The way I see it, it's not incredible literature by any means. However, it is super enjoyable.

Essentially, it's the Ghirardelli brownie mix. Still not great for you, and not as good as from a bakery, but very tasty!

I FINISHED ONYX STORM!

Let's talk about it! I have thoughts! And questions!

Yaaayyy! Snow Day!

Went from a 3 hour delay to a full snow day!

I get to stay home with the cats! And the spouse.

Time to read Onyx Storm!

Welp, I rather fell off the wagon of my 20 books, 20 days challenge. I should pick that back up.

We have snow on the ground today! I've been hoping for a good 3-4 inch snowfall in my part of the world. It's so pretty. I like to just sit and watch it while I drink my coffee.

Times like this, you have to find the little things to love.

Hey #booksky, what do you read when you want comfortable escapism? Like Ilona Andrews, Tamora Pierce, Mercedes Lackey, etc.

Having a rough mental health bit and looking for some new recommendations.

(I usually read sci-fi/fantasy and other speculative fiction, but all recs welcome.)

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.
