4. Research that draws on model systems (e.g. 🪴🪰🪱🍄🧫, etc etc) is great, but animal research *must* be viable without vertebrate facilities. Other animal/plant/microbial/phage models are fine, as is research that involves fieldwork but not lab experiments with vertebrates. See job ad for details.

3. The research plan should involve substantial undergraduate research. We do not have a graduate program in Biology at UW Bothell. Postdocs are possible, & Computer and Software Systems does have a Masters program, so you could in principle support a Bioinformatics CSS masters student(s) .

2. UW Bothell is a PUI, so inclusive undergrad teaching, integration of research & teaching and community engagement are all valued.
