The AOT mentioned in this article is a court order that disproportionately targets people of color and by the state’s own data, whatever the person’s living situation was at the time the court order is issued, they are more likely to be inpatient or incarcerated by the time the court order is ended.

I have a lot of respect for the work of The Marshall Project but it is deeply disappointing to see the promotion of carceral narratives around inpatient and outpatient commitments promoted without qualification or clarification.

Far too many people working in film work pay check to pay check, an action like this would hit them harder than anyone else. And the end goal can’t be to work again at the same network, the goal should be formation of independent studios that can provide living wages.
