Now, one positive thing that stood out last night is how important Purdy's ability to evade pressure and run away from defenders is to this offense. I sure hope the INTs are out of his system.
This is something that is really bugging me.
Take a look at the stats from #49ers Brock Purdy's last 17 games (aka a full season's worth of action):
Purdy has a passer rating of 94.2 with 4,293 yards, 27 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
That isn't HORRIFYINGLY AWFUL but it's not great, either.

Tonight wasn't pretty and it sure as hell wasn't perfect, but the #49ers have played 12 games and won 8 of them.
They have the most division wins and the most conference wins in the NFL.

I think it's safe to say the 49ers are going to be 8-4 heading into Cleveland in six days. I also think it's safe to say the 49ers will be 8-5 after next Sunday if Brock Purdy plays anything like he did tonight. Myles Garrett and Co. will eat his lunch.

Assuming the 49ers hang on and win this game, it's thanks to the outstanding play of some of the young defensive guys who have been thrust into action only out of necessity. Robert Saleh has made great strides molding this unit.
