Building housing in cities prevents sprawl, protects forests & farmland. Seattle's own study determined construction of SF homes to be the biggest threat to tree retention. Instead of weakening urban housing capacity, we should embrace the opportunity to create livable, walkable communities. (3/3)

Cities have the authority to regulate setbacks, lot size, etc. They also must make it 'feasible' to construct home types required by law and larger setbacks inhibit construction of middle housing. And, we can have both abundant housing and a healthy environment including urban trees!(2/3)
