My sweet baby kitten Peach is under the weather with some kind of intestinal bug. We’ve been to the vet and I panic same-day ordered puppy pads, gloves, extra enzyme cleaner and treats. I don’t like this part of pet ownership, kittens aren’t supposed to be unwell.

I left my nice shoes by the door and forgot to change into them when I left and now I’m wearing crocs to a nice dinner and Christmas symphony show.

I’m having some feelings and just wanted to sit in the comfy chair with a snuggly cat, but instead the two chaos kittens ripped a cellular shade by hanging on it by their claws and tried to eat the wreath above the mantle.

Brought Peach and Daisy to the vet for a quick vaccine booster and they took them back without me! I wasn’t prepared! I know Peach is really nervous and I wanted to hold her!

The kitties were so sleepy today, and so cuddly. This girl has leapt into my lap several times and dozed right off.

Peaches scratched at my leg so I petted her. Then she jumped up my legs so I picked her up and she LAID HER HEAD DOWN ON MY ARM WHILE I PETTED HER. 😻 (Kittens sleeping for maximum cuteness)

Do you have any advice for keeping cats from jumping up on the counters? They can’t be unsupervised at all when they’re on the main floor, meaning I can’t even just sit while they wander around, I have to patrol the kitchen.

The kittens are fun and cute, but they don’t yet sit with me while I read. They have to be supervised on the main floor (counter/lamp leaping) and they never ever sit still. I hear rumors that they nap in their basement lair, but like when my children were toddlers they do not sleep in my presence.

Having kittens is like having toddlers again, I just made a tent out of a towel and a clothes drying rack and just made their day.

Cat People: Do you feed a raw/wet food only diet, and do you have good resources for me to read about it? (We are starting here based on the recommendations/requirements of the Animal Welfare League, trying to find our way with cost and good sense).

The kitties had about an hour of supervised upstairs time this morning and that wore them out so we’ll have another visit after naptime. They mostly (adorably!) peeked around corners and scouted out hiding spots. Peach found a toy mouse that had been hidden somewhere by Noodle. ❤️ Pic fr last night
