Tangent: at #BrattleBookShop I saw a "50 years of Cambridge" 1879~? book, in the flesh.

It's so interesting to see, then, how technology, progress, religion, and morality were commonly used then, even if .... let's say, less inclusive perhaps.

I'm an increasing fan of Jasmine's writings, and will probably mention them more; she describes herself as anthropology of tech, and she has a lot of insight into the culture around it esp in SF.
I am trying to write more about the Boston side of things that way, myself.
