The real question is, why the heck did that bloated idiot Gov Morrissey send WV national guardsmen to patrol DC streets? He was responsible for their safety and he failed.

What does the WV governor have to do with NG troops patrolling the streets of DC? If he sent them there he should be sued by their families for sacrificing them as a political stunt.

I lived in historic Mt Vernon. While I was running on my apt buildings treadmill I heard what sounded like firecrackers outside in the parking lot. I learned later that day it was a shooting. It was considered a “safe” area.
