Courts should be the kind of things that it doesn’t matter who packs them. That it does, there is a failure of law at work somewhere along the way.

In this day and age redacted files aren’t a bad thing, because it still provides evidence that the information exists, making it harder for the DOJ and FBI to destroy the files. Don’t get me wrong— we need to see everything, but with this level of corruption I suspect they want to destroy evidence.

Why this matters? Because it tells us that highly defensible narratives can shift culture. People aren’t thinking anymore, they’re following narrative-streams delivered to them through social media. Moral: learn to make a strong case, if it can be made morally, all the better.

Yes, Marc Elias is the greatest democracy fighter I have seen in my lifetime. Legal minds everywhere, pushing back, contextualizing for us. Law is an incredible thing. Of course, it also has an ideological side, but in itself it’s at the core of civilization.
