There are no bus options that get me into the office for an 8am start and the closest is a bus that I’d have to drive 15 minutes to get on. The bus from Ballybunion leaves at 6am and takes 2hrs 20m to get to Limerick bus station - at best. I finish at 4 and can be stuck on the dock road for 30-40m

And thereby (especially if working in Dublin) are forced to sit for hours upon hours in barely moving traffic just to get to an office.

Even in Limerick where I’m fortunate to only have a couple of days a week in office the traffic getting home can change a journey from 1hr or so to 2hrs or more.

Can I lie down yet? Working a role full time and trying to find the time and energy for photography & art & surviving. It’s exhausting stuff really.

This was after he - a Roman Catholic priest - spoke about King Charles and the royal family for the difficult times the royal family has experienced lately.

It was a very surreal and loaded service. 😂

Full time despair.

€349,000 asking for a property here in Ballybunion, one which would definitely require work to it — sold for €473,000 last month.

The amount of places - especially this time of year - that have nobody in them is wild. Such a waste of housing and then people wonder why the town is so quiet and so hard to sustain business in...

One house just sold at €473,000 from an asking price of €349,000. A neighbouring property of it was recently demolished and is currently being turned into what appears to be a trophy house with an ocean view.

The amount of second or third homes here destroys the market for locals looking to buy.

Bad and aggressive drivers will still exist even if you change it to 30km/h.

Perhaps we’d benefit more from better designed spaces and greater pedestrianisation of urban centres than trying to curtail the impacts of bad drivers.

The aggressive drivers are going to accelerate beyond 30km/h regardless of the limit though. 50km/h ≠ 50km/h for many?

I just drove a 64km round trip from my home to a nearby town, 5 times drivers either driving aggressively or not paying attention would have hit me if I wasn’t quick to react.

Do you find speed is the problem or would it be the aggressive driving styles of people? Like I drive across a mix of roads from 30km/h to 120km/h, the thing that freaks me out the most is people accelerating aggressively from 0 to the speed limit and tailgating aggressively.
