I wholeheartedly agree. Joel Edgerton is a miracle. This is a very special film.
I don’t think it will win Best Picture or Best Actor, but I really loved “Train Dreams” and Joel Edgerton is absolutely amazing in it.
Also, love seeing Bryce Dessner, a member of one of my favorite bands (The National), getting a nomination for original song with Nick Cave.

I just found out Tom Noonan has passed away. Singular, strange in the best way, always walking that thin line between menace and melancholy.
And yeah, I’ll die on this hill: his take on Francis Dollarhyde in Manhunter was the most terrifying version of the Lecter mythos.
