🧋😶 yes, standing up to people like this who are willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard

but suffering that pain & harm is hard too

so maybe we should assert ourselves & push back for our wellbeing if we're suffering either way?

Is this a thing? Like this ideal of pursuit of happiness combined with capitalism and consumerist culture cannot exist without this contradiction the whole idea of individual rights?

I mean. I suppose there would be pther resolutions possible but we ended up with neoliberalism?
