I was grateful to take part in the 33rd annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign on Saturday, supporting families in need. Calgary Transit partnered with Calgary Co-op and the Calgary Food Bank, with buses parked at Co-op stores across the city for Calgarians to fill with donations. 1/2

It's budget week at Calgary City Council! My colleagues and I are working hard to reduce the tax increase for residents proposed by the previous Council and find more efficient ways to deliver the things we all rely on: infrastructure, public safety, and of course, services like snow clearing.

Grateful to attend yesterday's Economic Outlook event alongside our team of new City Council. I shared how fiscal discipline and strong public safety must guide us into this budget. With Calgary growing fast and confidence returning, there’s real reason to be optimistic about our city’s future.

Listening to Calgarians is an essential and important activity for City Council. My colleagues and I held the first public hearing of the new term to hear feedback from community members on how several proposed land use changes may impact them. Thank you to everyone who attended!

I stopped in to visit the family behind Kalamata Grocery over the weekend -- the Beltline shop featured in the media after recent break-ins. What stood out was their resilience and how much they care about their neighbourhood. 1/3

I've sponsored a motion to repeal blanket rezoning -- and committee voted today to send it to full Council. As mayor, I'm committed to addressing blanket rezoning and replacing it with a community-driven approach, to restore certainty and build needed housing to support our growing city. #yyccc

It was great to be home in East Calgary at Legion 275 this week for Remembrance Day. We honour our veterans on November 11, but our gratitude must be lived year-round through service, remembrance, and support for those who served. Lest we forget. #yyccc

Calgary's Flag Policy means any country recognized by Canada may have their flag flown at City Hall on their national day. But national flag-raisings are now creating division. Next week, we’ll move to end national flag-raisings at City Hall to keep this a safe, welcoming space for all. #yyccc
