Later in the game, when the difficulty spiked, I looked online for answers and learned I was supposed to give those departing characters those abilities, and in doing so get even stronger abilities in return. Ruined my playthrough, and I was mad they added such a weird mechanic to a favorite game.

It's been years, but if I remember a big mechanic was giving characters special abilities. I had loved classic FFIV, so I didn't want to waste those abilities on characters that died or left the party in the story. (1/2)

I once found an order ticket inside a burrito I bought from Independence Blvd and Bonnie Road.

The best McDonalds breakfast burrito I've ever had was consistently made at the McDonalds in the Lynnhaven Mall at Virginia Beach. Everything about it was perfect, every time. It was a mall, though, so breakfast was only served for about 30 minutes.

This was in a time that hasn't existed since where the initial Star Wars enthusiasm had died off, and they were just figuring out that there was still a market there. I think the Zahn books were in progress.
The point was I was a niche nerd, but 100% certain that I was right and he was wrong.

I joined the school Academic Team my 8th grade year (mid-90s). Went to a meet at another school and the moderator asked "What weapon does Darth Vader use?"
I hit the buzzer, "Lightsaber!"
"Incorrect." Some shithead on the other team said "Lazer Sword" and got awarded the point.
Such bullshit.
