We have been in our home 8 years. Steve painted the interior as we settled in. He is 77 and has decided to paint the interior again before the new carpet is installed and he is 78. The prep will take as much time as the painting. He really does a job right.

For Steve’s recent birthday I bought him several puzzles. It is one of the very few Facebook ads I ever responded to. It was a “going out of business” sale. I must say Steve and I are quite impressed with the quality. They are later cut wooden and beautiful. He completed these over several days.

The view from our guest room where I laid down to take a nap. Here I am able to sleep in the sun. It is a beautiful day after the storm.

Solar decorative lights in the snow are very pretty.

I took Steve for his birthday dinner at the Klamm Shell Steakhouse tonight. Left the house at 4 pm and it was snowing lightly but the drive home 2 hours later was nearly white out. So glad to be home.

I’m watching the Movie “American President”. A feel good movie for these turbulent political times.

It is 30 degrees with winds of 17 mph here in Pueblo West. Not a good day for Steve to putz on his projects so it is a puzzle day. I got him several wooden puzzles for Christmas and while they are about 250 pieces each, they are challenging.

I have something new on the wall. A few of Steve’s train collection and a copy of a photograph called “Five Titans” taken by my granduncle, Adolph Presler, in 1937 in Chicago. I would love to find the Chicago Daily News article mentioned. I found the photo in the National Archives.

We got snow yesterday and today a little wind blowing the snow around. It’s like being in a snow globe.
