my friend decided to attempt to make a copy of a game himself, a single 3.5 in floppy.

He didn't have a blank disk, so he needed to wipe an old one of data he no longer needed. He knew the A: drive was the top one, so he counted down to the one he inserted the old disk into.

meanwhile, everyone in infosec is having an ongoing panic attack and trying to leverage AI for defense because one thing LLMs have been really successful in automating is attack chains.

a lot of the people who thought they were building some sci-fi future have realized what they made is just big auto-complete. now they have to generate profit by shoving big auto-complete into everything, whether or not it makes sense.

it might still pay well, but engineers like meaningful work.

Not quite the same type of vuln, though both would have a root cause of "bad server/service config". Closer to the Tea app leak from the summer, though that one was an exposed aws storage bucket, not a database.
