I never got into that game because I didn't give it the time required to learn. I should give it a shot again. I also have EU4, no dlc but could learn too.

You'll be happy if those are the two things you need. The UI is different. There are more panels and more separation of data. But the essence and joy of the game is the same.

That's basically all I'm seeing - a lot of "I don't like change" and the buttons are different. There are some legitimate patches needed, but I'm enjoying my save so far.
