I’ve had pecan pie twice. It’s fine but somehow isn’t as good as pecans straight up.

I will sometimes throw a chocolate pie in there. All other pies are there to distract the family from choosing banana cream. I have a playbook and script the opening plays.

I will eat it on Thanksgiving Day only because it at least matches the other foods. But also do a Dutch Apple every year and order a banana cream. The latter is my favorite.
