@jmcdonaldsa.bsky.social in that scenario, if the Spurs lose tonight, they get autonmatic tie breakers against all teams that DID not qualify. If they win today and lose next week, they get it against this week's losers and all who didn't qualify, etc

@jmcdonaldsa.bsky.social I like the idea of adding playoff automatic tie breakers as part of the Cup reward system. The winner gets automatic tie breaker against the whole league, runner up gets it against everyone else, etc. Rewards in-season tourney progression with useful post-season awards.
