The last day of JERAA Conference 2025 is underway with panelists Faleagafulu Inga Stünzner, Stefan Armbruster, Leah Lowonbu, and chaired by Dr Kasun Ubayasiri discussing the topic of Empowering Pacific Journalism in Turbulent Times.

Themes covered between two rooms are ‘Rural, Regional, and Community Journalism’ and ‘AI, Disinformation and Fact-Checking’

A workshop on strategies to make journalism more inclusive for neurodiverse students is also underway.

A reminder that the Anne Dunn Scholar of the Year award is open for nominations until August 1. The $3000 award recognises excellence in research about the fields of journalism or communications, including but not limited to broadcast media for the public benefit.
