Oh, that sounds delicious. Yeah, I'm not sure where she got it. I've never heard it used anywhere else. Could be just a made-up thing. I always fried up leftovers of potatoes, beef, carrots, or peas and onions, and my kids called it Mish Mash, so that's what we call fried up leftovers.

My mother-in-law always made fried bread dough and called it scunions. I'm not sure where she got the name from. She was from PEI with French ancestry. IMO, fried dough is delicious by any name, but we call it scunions in our family because of her. 😊❤️ BTW, keep posting and ignore the critics.
