I started doing it in the 90’s when our then cat ran up the tree and broke it.
I have given my dining room tree (2nd tree), to my daughter this year, so going out to buy a real one to replace it.
My lounge tree (artificial), is already up, and anchored, incase the dogs decide to investigate further😂

I always tie mine to the skirting board from the middle before decorating.
You can’t see the string I use either.

We did it our own way this year, as this day increasingly plays havoc with other half’s PTSD.
We were listening to R2, and the last 8 minutes were the most moving we have ever felt on Remembrance Day, and we cried silent tears while holding hands and praying for the lives that have been lost.

I have been awol, mostly because I felt really tired last week and had a SM ‘lay off’.
Still tired, so much so I backed out of a w/e trip to Bulgaria with daughter, so spent it sewing.
I am off out Xmas shopping today for stuff that needs posting abroad.

Same here.
Childhood memories together with our mums, and then on the tv every Xmas when we were kids, a tradition I still keep today.
The day we got back from Salzburg, it was on at the cinema, digitally remastered ready for next year. Only the second time I have ever seen it on the big screen!

The tour was fabulous. (It was on my bucket list).
There were people from across the world on our tour bus, all singing and revelling in everything Sound of Music.
There are big things happening next year in Salzburg as the film celebrates its 60th birthday.
