Oh yes, very true. RBWo is perhaps the most notorious example of naming a bird for a specimen character. Possibly because so many woodpeckers have conspicuous red head markings.

Since the Red Sox are my main team, I could deal with Alonso going there, but it would be weird for him not to be a Met. Didn’t see Díaz going, though.

I like it when one of the local news meteorologists talks about the wind “being busy out there.” Hadn’t heard that before moving here.

Went and looked it up on eBay and discovered one with a close to $400.00 asking price. I just rode that thing down the hill into the woods below and bounced it off the tree trunks and stumps at the bottom of the hill.
