Here I react to the shameful behavior of American leaders and media toward the Ukrainian president. No doubt there were more, but I saw five failures on our side: of hospitality, decency, democracy, strategy, and independence. Please watch and share.

Listen to @oniblackstock.bsky.social. Your silence will not protect you. Stand up. Find others to stand up with. There is safety in numbers.
Under fascism, no one is safe.

Universities stayed quiet as the admin targeted DEI & foreign aid, censored research, etc.

Now, they face devastating cuts to indirect cost rates, threatening research & operations.

Silence won’t protect institutions. It won’t protect people; it never does.

#nih #neuroskyence #immunosky #academicsky contact your house representatives and senators. Research is an economic driver in many regions of this country! Please act!
So by executive order Trump has implemented a total and complete shutdown not just of #NIH et al communication but of all basic science research.

Delays in funding, however temporary, are costly. But this level of disruption for any sustained period of time will decimate universities.
