Most Americans agree we need to get money out of politics. If that takes a constitutional amendment, then that's what we have to do. And if that's going to take years, then it's all the more reason to begin pushing now.

So true. We need to find likable, sincere candidates who speak in plain (& not condescending) language & understand the difficulties people are experiencing & want to do something about it. He/she should also have plans to fix things that can be explained in simple but compelling terms.

So true. We need to find likable, sincere candidates who speak in plain (& not condescending) language & understand the difficulties people are experiencing & want to do something about it. He/she should also have plans to fix things that can be explained in simple but compelling terms.
That’s the way to counter the constant lies from republicans that the shutdown is democrats’ fault. Many democrats tend to assume people know it’s the republicans’ fault but clearly many people don’t understand or really care about how our government works. We must keep repeating counter-propaganda.
Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

USPS will stop evening mail pickups from post offices more than 50 miles from a regional processing facility & will be postmarked/delivered at least 1 day later than before. Voters mailing a ballot close to the election could be disenfranchised.
