Not quite a straight-up audio book, since it is a dramatization of the book series, but I really enjoyed this one. It's kinda sci-fi and fantasy and really no romance and zero smut.

Today' Rhys Darby presents from my students. A tiny Rhys for my smart board pen, and a tiny Rhys to wear on my pinkie so, in the words of my student, I can have him with me always. 🤣

As some of you know, I am an elementary school teacher, and to bring myself joy, last year I named our classroom walkie 'Rhys' and gave him a suitable 'flag' so that he is easily identifiable as belonging to our classroom. Welp, the students are now drawing him his own fanart, much to my joy.

I'm afraid the first thing that popped into my head was this *interesting* costume I took a picture of at Spirit Halloween a few years ago.

Probably my favorite passage from the smut I've managed to write. (Trying to get back in the right headspace to finish off the coffee boys by rereading the last few chapters.)
Text which reads: Ed reached over to his bedside table drawer to grab some lube. “Okay, so we’ll need some of this to ease you in, but we start with fingers first. I don’t suppose you’ve ever fingered yourself? Or fingered someone else? Or maybe even gotten fingered?” Stede blushed straight down to his bare chest. “Goodness, no! Giving or getting head is the furthest I ever went back in boarding school.” “And you and Mary never experimented with…?” Stede looked a bit embarrassed. “No, I’m afraid sex between us was always perfunctory, at best.” Ed couldn’t help but feel sorry for this dear, sweet man who had only ever been exposed to sex as a means to an end. He stroked Stede’s cheek gently with his hand. “Well, I hope that we can manage something much better than ‘perfunctory’ tonight.” Stede’s face softened into an endeared smile. “Darling, we already have. The rest is just icing.” Ed beamed back at him. “Well, then, I guess it’s time we glaze this doughnut.” Stede sputtered out a laugh. “Oh, Ed, that was a truly awful joke.” Ed dropped his head down, giggling away. “I couldn’t resist it! I think your bad puns are rubbing off on me. Speaking of rubbing…” Ed grabbed Stede’s right hand and squeezed some lube onto his fingers, “let’s start with that.”
